Octopus: highly intelligent and highly delicious.

I don't much care for octopus, partly because of the texture and partly because of what I've read about its intelligence.

I refuse to eat Stephen Hawking for the same reasons.

just saute it long enough and it's no longer chewy.

I for one would definitely snack on Mr. Hawking... with Chianti, no fava

Yeah, I'll bet his flesh is really tender.

(I can't believe I just said that. What has this site done to me?)

Try cuttlefish. Crni rižot was one of my favorite dishes while in Croatia. Much more tender than octopus or squid, arguably more intelligent. Also one of the most alien-looking bowls of tasty foodstuffs I've ever had - deep black rice with little tentacles.

The Flamboyant Cuttlefish is my all-time favourite animal. I'd be even less likely to eat that than I would the former Lucasian Chair of Mathematics.

They are practicing for the day when great Cthulhu awakens.
