An individual has a right to their own body and their own life. This man has every right to die if that is his wish, and we have no right to stop him. That isn't even considering his circumstances. That we would debate his right to die with the level of sustained misery he's expressed is baffling.

I am pro-choice when it comes to abortion, suicide, and a wide variety of personal rights issues. I understand not everyone will agree with me that someone should be able to end their own life for any reason if they choose to, but I find our fear of death and self-determined death too extreme when it comes to these cases. Just because it makes some of us uncomfortable is no reason to force this man to live and suffer against his will.

Both coming into this world and leaving are medical procedures and should be assisted by a medical professional.

Honestly can't tell if you're being ironic.

Not at all being born and causing your death both need a medical professional.

Well, in that case we may disagree on the why, but agree on the what, so I'll just leave it at that. Cheers!

It should also be an established procedure...taking some time to ensure it is not just the case of depression making your decision...ending in a peaceful death.

On this I can agree...

There are literally billions of cases of birth - now and throughout human history that involved no medical professional. In fact there is now mounting concern that medical intervention in birth is detouring human evolution to the point where natural childbirth is becoming endangered.

As for the need for a medical professional for chosen death - this man is currently in the position that he has to choose to do it himself.
