Here's where the Democrats instead remind us why they can't get elected dogcatcher any more.

I've already seen "progressive" first time candidates saying it's not the right political climate for single payer... Apparently not grasping the concept of how political climates happen. :(

While you're writing/calling your representatives to urge medicare for all, be sure to thank them for standing up to Trump so far.

Everybody wanted to know why we needed Pelosi for two more years...this was why. It is going to get worse before it gets better.

If there ever was a time to make the case to the American people it is now.
It would have no chance of passing now, but if you make the case now, it could very well be possible in 18 or 20.
satanspenis666 said @ 8:26pm GMT on 24th Mar
Let's not pass it now, I'm not sick yet.
bbqkink said[1] @ 9:12pm GMT on 24th Mar
I'm pretty sure the GOP congress isn't going to pass it so you have at least two years. Besides you now have the ACA...for a bit longer at least.

Next up From the white house the fairy tale of "Trickle Down Economics"

The big lie...The bullshit story all the other lies are based on is due to make it reappearance on TVs everywhere.

I have already heard some republicans using phrases that implie trickle down economics without saying it out right.

No they all hate the term "Trickle Down" they know it has a negative connotation...they say things like it is a phony or made up word. But if you pin them down they will admit to the term supply side economics , they kind of admit to Reaganomics.

No matter what you call it it is all the same.... give rich people money and it will spur ecnomic growth and create jobs.... If you really think the problem with our economy is that Rich people don't have enough money...well you are either a liar or a fool.
LurkerAtTheGate said @ 12:57am GMT on 25th Mar
I'd be surprised if you could pin Trump down on any such term even with sodium pentothal. Especially if you asked him to actually explain any of them.

But given the AMT jumped his taxes by $30M, you can bet he'll be pushing for it to be removed.

β€œThe beauty,” Trump continued, β€œis that they own Obamacare. So when it explodes, they come to us, and we make one beautiful deal for the people.” (link)

Trump uses other's sympathy to control. Today's youth are learning that you too can be a winner if you don't care who suffers.
bbqkink said[2] @ 9:44pm GMT on 25th Mar
I may be wrong about this but haven't they discontinued the penalty for not buying and even more importantly the subsidies to help paying for insurance off the exchanges?

If they have it will kill the ACA and if they have, they own it...it is Trumpcare. Anybody know for sure?

+++++++EDIT+++++

Through an "executive order" that is both symbolic and at least vaguely substantive, Trump directed federal workers to make the law less of a burden to businesses and consumers, possibly by slashing or reducing penalties.

He claims Obama planned for ACA to fail in 2017. I've heard him say that several times. Trump is Obama's victim yet again.

Oh they know how to run a government. Just not a democratic republic with checks and balances. They prefer totalitarian dictatorships or an oligarchy. They'd do really well with those.

and as much as this is needed it isn't likely to happen either.

"Hours after House Republicans withdrew their controversial replacement for Obamacare, Democratic U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin encouraged them to return to the negotiating table.

"If you take repeal off the table, I'm pulling up a chair to that table," he said. "I'm willing to sit down and concede it is not a perfect law."

Durbin: Democrats are ready to change health care

Although it is unlikely this is possible depending how this palys out.
