CBO Report Forecasting 24 Million People To Lose Health Insurance Under GOP Healthcare Plan

quote [ The eagerly awaited CBO report forecast that 14 million more people would be uninsured in 2018 and 24 million more in 2026 if the plan being considered in the House of Representatives were adopted. Obamacare enabled about 20 million previously uninsured Americans to obtain medical insurance. ]

So, 24 million overall, and and probably more after 2026. I have to say this is even more grim than my negative, cynical ass, thought it would be.

If you can't afford it, you don't get it. It's as simple as that. Martin Shkreli and Heather Bresch of Mylan understand this.

Nestlé's Chairman, Peter Brabeck understands this.

Republicans understand there are no free lunches.

This is how we #MAGA

You're looking at this with the wrong attitude. That's 24 million people who will gain the freedom of not having health insurance.

You forgot about the millions who have the privilege of paying more for less...or the freedom of paying for insurance that can cut you at any time....or the people with pre-existing condition who now feel much more comfortable in a pool of patients just like themselves, who wouldn't want to pay 10 times more to be with the other sick people....or the states who will lose millions at the same time pick up the responsibility of providing coverage at the state level. Lets not forget about those rural hospitals who will go broke...all in all a great day for freedom.

So...more people will lose health insurance under this plan in the next 10 years than gained it under the ACA.

America: 1 step forward, 2 steps backward.

That is big. Bigger than anything I've ever seen.

I see no way forward for this fiasco. I'm usually wrong when I'm this sure.

It's what Jesus would have done, after all.

If the poor people die, it won't matter if we cut all their support systems! The added benefit is that the ones who don't die will be in debt for the rest of their lives. As soon as they can't work, they can't live.

The rich must be so happy.
