Donald Trump has overturned a law preventing companies dumping coal mining debris in streams

quote [ President Donald Trump has put the brakes on a regulation blocking coal mining debris from being dumped into nearby streams. Trump called the stream protection regulation a “job-killing rule” before he signed a measure to overturn it. ]

He's like Lex Luthor, only he doesn't keep his evil schemes secret.

And without the charisma and intelligence. Okay, he's not very much like Lex Luthor.

How did this rule kill jobs?

It cut profits so executives could only afford two or three underage prostitutes at a time, instead of the four or five they usually get. It was very sad for their pimps and drug dealers.

It is a wash...save about 250 mine jobs and cost about 250 jobs of the people who would have been needed make the safety zones work.

So we get net 0 jobs and contaminated water ...water that those miners have to drink, water that flows down steam to millions of more of the states residences. But the mine owners make out a lot better.

Two Democrats voted for this for those of you keeping score.

I know you're just copying the headline, but it's important to make the distinction between a 'rule' and a 'law'. A 'law' can only be enacted by Congress and once signed, cannot be reversed by the president.
A rule or regulation is made solely by the executive branch and is subject to the whims of the current administration. Now that climate-denying industry shill Scott Pruitt has been officially confirmed to head the EPA, expect a lot more of these regulations to fall like dominoes.

I'd love to see someone filter water through coal and have a swig of that, see how long they are upright and alive.

Coal != charcoal.
lilmookieesquire said @ 1:08am GMT on 18th Feb
I was totally joking but:

Charcoal is formed from wood by a process in which wood is heated in absence of oxygen. The process is called pyrolysis or destructive distillation. Coal : Coal is naturally formed combustible material formed out of plant and animal remains, which were compressed by overlying earth crust for a very long time.

Charcoal isn't charred coal.

I've tasted (and spat out) well-filtered and boiled water from a cow pond...awful! And, I'd argue, not good for one. Also, there are plants like oleander that utterly poison water sources close to where they grow...also, never cook with oleander wood, the smoke is deadly.
