We all float down here.

quote [ "We all float down hear." ]

Shoutbox supplement.

... and, Jesus, I just woke up from one of the worst nightmares I've had in years. I've got some other things stressing me out, but I'm pretty sure it's the general state of affairs in the US political system that's filling my dreams with literally cowering in a corner while monsters hunt me in the dark and things that look like people but aren't are ripping off their faces.

Christ, I hate when it gets to the point where I'm afraid to go to sleep.

You could at least give context for the people in the deadlights. :P

I read the book when I was in my early teens. I loved/hated it, but decided I never wanted to see the movie.

I think I was in elementary school when I read the book. So I think the movie was off limits to me for a while. When I saw it, it wasn't what I wanted it to be. Not bad, but like most King movies it just didn't live up to what I had in my head.

To be fair though, Tim Curry running around inside the Polaroid pictures was pretty fucking scary.

I don't know, this is a pretty hard book to turn into a movie. King also kind of retconned it into his dark tower series so it's a little jumbled in my mind

Eddie discovered one of his childhood's great truths. Grownups are the real monsters, he thought.

Swear to me swear to me that if it isn't dead you'll all come back.
