Venice Minus Water

quote [ For the second year in a row, low tides in Venice have sunk to such record levels that it has left the city almost entirely without water. Visitors who came to the city expecting to ride gondolas through the city’s famous blue-green canals have found their plans foiled, as without water many of the city’s primary transport have been left grounded on the canals’ muddy beds. ]

That place smells like an open sewer when the water is normal. I can't imagine it now.

My first thought was, "Ooh, I wonder what treasures can be found." My second though was, "Eh, never mind - I bet it smells horrid and there's probably a ton of human waste all through there."

Huh. I guess "Venice is gradually sinking" has been replaced by "holy Jesus, wtf is that smell? !".

So tides are effected by gravitational forces usually...

"The sun's gravitational force on the earth is only 46 percent that of the moon. Making the moon the single most important factor for the creation of tides." http://home.hiwaay.net/~krcool/Astro/moon/moontides/

But with Global Warming and increased sea levels as is said to be happening, shouldn't it be record high tides?

Unless water level (tide lines) have to be considered with the gravitational effects it has on the water mass as a whole so hey does this show that one of the bodies that effect our tides has fluctuated from it's mean value?

Or hey maybe there's another gravitational source not considered now effecting our water levels. Which could be causing different water levels in areas of our globe.

MEh or I'm just over thinking things.

It's the lack of rain in Italy that's the actual anomaly, I think. The tides vary, but the variance is usually obscured by water coming into the lagoon.

And so-called scientists tell us sea levels are rising. Vote Trump!

The tides are rigged.

Trump will Make Venice Great Again by melting the polar ice caps. With coal.
