As the article notes, there are a number of artists not on Spotify, most notably the Beatles, so it's not a truly representative list. However, I recognize a lot of the songs from before 2000, so it looks like the methodology is fairly valid.
It also reminds me of how much I've lost touch with pop music in the last 15 years - I recognized almost none of the songs from the 00's. Guess it's just a sign I'm getting old. |
