This is a jam. It was on the "Above the Rim" soundtrack, which is packed FULL of goodness. Ceybil Jefferies also has a tight House track, Love So Special, that she did in 1990.

Heard this on a 2007 MP3 compilation ”The Originals v2” mixing newer songs and their Soul samples .. no traces to be found online. Was it that hipster Crowndozen blog?
Wikipedia says she had a lung condition for many years and died through Covid in N.Y. in 2020. Also, found no record of the MC in the second half song.
