Just found out there was a music video that was basically Episode 0 of Cyberpunk Edgerunners. For those that were into it.

So is this something worth watching? I’ve never really been into an anime/manga. I tried when it got big in the West, back in 1992, because it sounded like the kind of thing I would like. Dystopian sci-if, etc. I read some manga and watched some anime but nothing has clicked for me so far.

I thought it was pretty decent. I know fuck all about the game, but I felt like the anime did a pretty good job of capturing the genre. It's got your transhumanism, your capitalism crushing you through an open-air technological prison, the dark and gritty feel despite the endless neon.

Watching the series gave me a "so THIS is the world that the CP2020 RPG-books were trying to get me to visualize back in the day" feel, in a good way.

I started getting into anime a little in the early 90s but then I met some anime fans and decided it just wasn't worth it.
