Ion drives are currently being used by satellites. They used mercury in older models but they didn't work very well and caused a lot of problems. Now, we have the far more science-fictioney (and way sexier-sounding) xenon ion drive.

This is a joke right? Here is my patent for a fusion-powered jet. It is a picture of a regular jet with a box that says "fusion power."
As for the "spacetime weapon" I have no idea what it is, but it doesn't seem to be related to the rest of the article at all. |
