It looks like they mixed altered beast, contra, and Simone quest and included all three backgrounds in puke-o-vision.

This got a little critique, when they released an "enhanced" version that only turned off the parallax with a hack and added more lifes with another.
This thread explains how the weird parallax is actually a feature for special glasses everybody forgot about. |
