JetBlue has pretty decent free WiFi on most of their flights, and an iPhone can continue to send/receive iMessages when connected to the inter webs.

Would the airline have refunded his ticket? He probably bought it before ever getting tested and didn't have results yet, so my guess would be no. JetBlue, in that case, would also be responsible knowing that people won't or can't eat the cost of the ticket.

I still don't know if it was the Chinese Government or Wuhan's local government that muzzled the people who figured out something is wrong.
In any case, they shut everything down. People are only allowed to leave twice a week from their homes to buy groceries and supplies. Anyone breaking protocol is hosed down (probably) and arrested. The number of cases have slowed down considerably. Italy now has the highest counts outside of China. We don't operate like that, so we get dumb decisions like this happening. |

from what i know about how the party operates, it was local gov that decided to cover it up and reported to the province official, who then relayed to central for the bigger decision to cover up
