I think Google forgot about not being evil when they went public.

If one were to stop supporting Google, Apple, Facebook, or other companies who support climate change deniers, what alternative smartphone devices are available out there? This was a sincere question asked on Twitter and I couldn't come up with one.

When did Apple support climate change denial? They're not perfect (they're bumbling the HKmap.live issue), but they're much better than Facehook and Google. Their biggest problem right now is that they're heavily dependent on China.
In a pinch, you can make a smartphone last a long time if you're careful with it. |

I just lumped in Apple for their non-recyclable products like AirPods. Different problem altogether.

That's fair. They do have a recycling program (you can bring any Apple device to an Apple store or ask them for a prepaid FedEx label), and AirPods are included in that. But the actual process of recycling them is not very efficient and something that should be improved.
