quote [ In the broader effort to hold police accountable, most typified in the Black Lives Matter movement, one somewhat obscure legal conceit has in a largely unnoticed way contributed to our current regime of unaccountability. welcome to one of the reasons I feel we as citizens should stage an uprising.
as a society, we were a hop and skip away from one in the 70s. and we are right back there in a way. Yoga, Organic Eating and other Big Hippie Ideals are back in vogue. Nationalism is big again. |

I'd go so far to say that we're back towards the 20's; Inequality is out of control, the paint is coming off the Snake Oil wagon of Capitalism, people are remembering that the Left is about the rights of everyone not just the Owners... it might actually be a hopeful time of change if it wasn't for the the part where we're going to go extinct... which some people be hopeful about anyway.
