Searching for the Perfect Beat: American Rave Fliers from the 90s

quote [ Many consider the first rave happenings to have taken place during Ken Kesey’s notorious “Kool Aid” Acid Tests held in California during the winter of 1966. Another core influence would be England’s “Second Summer of Love” and the explosion of acid house in the late-eighties. Or maybe it really was Deadmau5 that started it all… ]

Enjoy the new scene, have fun at the rave

Zomg I love this shit. I have all my old flyers from the 90's to 00. The old school MN rave scene was so amazing. You would have to go to a record or "urban clothing store" get a flyer that had nothing but a dj lineup, date, and phone number. The day of the date on the flyer you call the number and a scavenger hunt ensued. You would drive to various locations getting maps and tokens until you've driven anywhere from 10 to 300 miles till you've reached the party! Pre info era made this especially....special I guess.

Anyway, for what it's worth I'm a lurker from the og se circa 99'. I couldn't help but comment on this.

Love yall and glad this place is still here.
