Plane carrying 143 people crashes into St. Johns River

quote [ Spokespersons from NAS Jacksonville said the Boeing 737 plane was arriving around 9:40 p.m. from Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and coming in for a landing. The plane was carrying 136 passengers and seven aircrew. ]

Great - another 737 crash...

I can't wait to read the Flight Fax when it comes out about this crash. Military wise this will be entertaining. My experience this is almost always pilot error. Looks like a 737-800 I'm betting he landed long on the run way and ran out of runway.

What if runways were inclined at the end so planes wouldn't run off them and into water? Sure, it might be dangerous, but going off the runway and into a body of water sounds more dangerous.

Oh, hey, that's like right down the road. I was even stationed there when I was younger. Oops.
