I have to admit a preference for a more workman-like interface. But I also do 99% of my photo work straight in Camera Raw, bypassing Photoshop entirely, and basically only use a plugin for straight/inverse Fourier transforms to strip halftoning out of scanned newspaper photos.

The interface definitely made it fun to toy with! Nowadays I do a lot of animation in After Effects, which is like 90% working around a pretty inefficient UI, 10% actually working.
