Ancestry-Testing Company: It’s Our ‘Moral Responsibility’ to Give The FBI Access to Your DNA

quote [ A popular DNA-testing company seems to be targeting true crime fans with a new pitch to let them share their genetic information with law enforcement so cops can catch violent criminals. ]

So...besides the random, inaccurate results and waste of money, there’s another reason to avoid this shit?

Oh, good. Another reason I'm in the FBI database.

They should start a dating site, with all my info.

I'm surprised there isn't already a dating site that matches people based on DNA.

Or your sibling.

I never did one of these because I didn't want anyone owning rights to my data. Also I'm paranoid AF. I feel vindicated. But my brother did one of these and we share a bunch of DNA. I await the day someone sues over their family signing away rights to what seems like it's a communal property.

My uncle did the DNA testing thing. Now I have to be very careful not to leave any tissue near a crime scene.
