There’s an Alternate Universe of Pre-MTV Music Videos You’ve Never Seen

quote [ The birth of the music video is often credited to MTV. It was 1981 when the first 24-hour music channel launched on our screens with “Video Killed the Radio Star”. Oh the irony, right? Wrong. Video and the radio star actually go way back. Get comfortable, because we’re about to have some fun getting to know the precursor to MTV– Le Scopitone! ]

"Vintage music videos"
Heck it's getting harder and harder to find videos from both the 80's and the 90's and it's annoying.
On YouTube things are resized, reversed and re-coloured to hide from the ever scanning algorithms designed to "protect copy-write" and the artists so called integrity.
All if does is make them more and more unavailable.
What good is it if all this stuff is hidden away to digitally decay?
The whole point was they were made to be watched.
If they aren't then what is any of this "value"?

I could understand it if the big (and small) music companies streamed their own "digital jukeboxes" but they don't.

On Television stations like Much Music and MTV don't show music anymore
They show "cribs" and dysfunctional teens crying that they aren't spoiled enough.
Ind, if they DO show music videos they are just displays of the newest version of autotune.
