Well, that was quick.

quote [ “It's a terrible, terrible thing what's going on with hate in our country, frankly, and all over the world. And something has to be done."

President Donald Trump

"If there was an armed guard inside the temple, they would have been able to stop him," Trump said before boarding a flight to a Saturday rally.
Trump previously said in a tweet that the shooting was "far more devastating than originally thought." ]

I think I should keep quiet on this one..my feelings are well known.

Less than 24 hours..

There is a 50/ 50 chance of another incident before the election.

A man has been arrested in the massacre at a Pittsburgh synagogue.

Pittsburgh Police say they have captured a suspect, Robert Bower, 46, in the mass shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue on Saturday morning. The shootings occurred during Shabbat service, normally the busiest time of the week at the house of worship. Bower reportedly shouted, “All Jews must die.” The number of casualties is unclear, but most news sources say at least four are dead.

Bower’s social media profile seems to show he was obsessed with anti-Semitic conspiracy theories that Jewish groups were working to inundate America with immigrants who were killing white people.

A social media post by Bowers said: "[A Jewish refugee organisation, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society] likes to bring invaders in that kill our people. I can't sit by and watch my people get slaughtered. Screw your optics, I'm going in."

Yep Trump's not near pure enough for this guy. Way to many Jews and Catholics hanging around.

That's not Nationalist...this is Nationalist.

"I'm Not A Globalist, I'm A Nationalist" : President Donald Trump

Not enough for this guy apparently.

It's just particularly sad that this guy is actually moving the goalpost of "extremism" again, and normalizing Trump saying he's a nationalist.

It's just depressing how the world has, since 2016, been getting demonstrably worse almost by the week. And we cannot be shocked anymore because we have to normalize it to some extent, to bear living in it.

Or we could vote and change it...to late for 2016 to stop it from happening but we could turn it around. Minimize the damage and put the whole thing under a white hot spotlight on National TV...just sayin

Its not like all of this is going away anytime soon...its out in the open now, got a taste of sunlight and power. Not at all sure who will wind up owning the GOP...not at all a given that it doesn't win outright and keep power...permanently...best advice...is to vote. Use it or lose it.

Brazil Elects Far-Right Authoritarian Jair Bolsonaro As President

“Brazil’s Trump” — who has praised dictatorship and promised a “cleansing” of his political opponents — will take charge of the world’s fourth-largest democracy.

That host is Nicolle Wallace, who invited Stephens, now at The New York Times, onto her set to blast Trump for his demagoguery. According to Stephens, Trump has debased “a long tradition of Republican leaders” including George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Ronald Reagan and John McCain who understood that the country benefits from immigrants. Wallace agreed. “Sometimes I wonder how low we’ve fallen,” she said.

This is a common refrain among Trump’s dwindling coterie of critics in the GOP. But racist demagoguery isn’t a Trump-specific problem. It’s long been a tactic used by the Republican Party and the conservative movement. And establishment figures in Washington almost never suffer career consequences after participating in it.

That’s not to say that Trump isn’t changing the Republican Party in dramatic ways. For years, neo-Confederate Corey Stewart couldn’t get traction in statewide Virginia elections. This year, he’s the Republican nominee for Senate. Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa.) gave an interview to a white nationalist publication, praised white nationalist leaders and spread white nationalist propaganda on Twitter. Even George W. Bush didn’t have an Environmental Protection Agency chief like Andrew Wheeler, who has a history of engaging with white nationalists and conspiracy theorists online, as HuffPost reported. Earlier this month, a fascist street gang called the Proud Boys administered beatings in New York.

The Midterm Elections Expose The Rot In Elite Conservatism
Trump’s demagoguery comes straight from the conservative movement.

This is the same thing we saw or should I say didn't see in 2016. No way to know what is happening because it has never happened before and there is no model.

I can already see how this will play out. Some synagogues will hire armed guards. Most likely they'll outsource that guard duty so that no devout jew is forced to bear a weapon into God's house.

And the NRA will continue to claim that the only thing that can stop a bad goy with a gun is a good goy with a gun.

And someone just shot two people at a Kroger because he couldn't get into a black church to shoot people there? So, are we gonna start a death toll pool for election day?

Imagine if it was ISIS that sent bombs to US officials, started shooting in grocery stores, and invading places of worship.

How do you think this administration would respond?

& why is the response so different when those same terrorist acts are committed by white supremacists?

'The apparent spark for the worst anti-Semitic massacre in American history was a racist hoax inflamed by a U.S. president seeking to help his party win a midterm election. There is no political gesture, no public statement, and no alteration in rhetoric or behavior that will change this fact. The shooter might have found a different reason to act on a different day. But he chose to act on Saturday, and he apparently chose to act in response to a political fiction that the president himself chose to spread, and that his followers chose to amplify.'

Trump’s Caravan Hysteria Led to This

The president and his supporters insisted that several thousand Honduran migrants were a looming menace—and the Pittsburgh gunman took that seriously.

There is great anger in our Country caused in part by inaccurate, and even fraudulent, reporting of the news. The Fake News Media, the true Enemy of the People, must stop the open & obvious hostility & report the news accurately & fairly. That will do much to put out the flame...
