This is kind of funny to see article for me, because I was just in Alaska last week around the Katmai area and didn't see a single bear. Probably because they are all in the elevation away from people fattening up on white pine seeds.

Did see a bunch off moose, including a dead one on the highway that lost an argument with an SUV while crossing.

My guess is the argument was a draw.
