Liberals, for example, construct moral arguments primarily on two principles, harm/care and fairness/reciprocity, failing to recognize additional principles, such as in-group loyalty, respect for authority, and purity concerns that drive conservative opposition.

I understand those concepts, I just think they're small-minded, selfish and toxic.

I was thinking that the writer lost a little cred by adding that politically hypocognitive blurt. Sort of an unintended "case-in-point" by the author.

...in-group loyalty jack-booted lock stepping, respect for authority authoritarian oppression, and purity dog whistles that mean keep everything white, straight, and male, concerns that drive conservative opposition.

Good article otherwise.

I think of it as caringly protecting fair people from harmful trolls, while reciprocating the effort steele has made.
