Streaming subscriptions now outnumber pay-TV customers in Britain

quote [ the number of UK subscribers to video streaming sites like Amazon and Netflix has surpassed the number of subscribers to traditional television, according to Britain’s Office of Communications - broadcasters in the UK shudder, as revenues drop in sync with the falling viewership.
Pay-TV still generates more money...though that marked a 2.7% decrease year-on-year. TV advertising income was down 9%, Revenue for online subscription sites, growing 38% year-on-year.
One of the main factors behind the enormous rise in streaming subscriptions is original content -, long-standing program creators like BBC, ITV , marking a record low [in producing content]. ]

A bit too old for being a millennial (technically I only missed it by 5 years, sheesh!) but as soon as we had Netflix we threw out cable tv. Can't say I've missed it one bit.

We use both cable and netflix. We have no pay TV options however

The only thing I watch is Youtube videos. I like them because they're short. TV shows and movies take too much time to watch.
