Amazon’s website went down just as Prime Day 2018 kicked off

quote [ According to the Down Detector, problems started right around 1500 Eastern Time, right when Amazon’s Prime Day deals were meant to start. In all likelihood, the problem is simply traffic: Amazon’s Prime Day was huge in terms of sales last year, and the event was anticipated to draw an even bigger virtual crowd this year. That kind of traffic can create huge demands on servers and network infrastructure, resulting in exactly the kind of slowdowns and failures we’re seeing now. ]

So - they got that going for them, which is nice.

Having read about how these people are treated and the pressures they are put under (like pretty much being forced to use piss bottles) it comes as no surprise that they strike.
(Wasn't there a thing here on their working conditions about a month back?)

More power to them.
I mean, I like convenience but not at that sort of sacrifice.

Unless you're buying the Amazon made products. All the deal seem to be very underwhelming, to be honest. Definitely not black Friday level savings people are hyping it up to be.

Keep trying. You need that stuff.
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is the richest man in recent history with a net worth of $150 billion
Just as Prime Day is kicking off, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos on Monday reportedly became the richest man in modern history.
And Bezos is working hard for you.
