His feud with The Capital, the chain’s daily newspaper, apparently began with a column in 2011 that detailed his alleged harassment of a high school classmate.

“He seems to think there’s some sort of relationship here that does not exist,” the woman told a judge, according to court documents in a harassment case she brought against Mr. Ramos. “I tried to back away from it, and he just started getting angry and vulgar to the point I had to tell him to stop.”

After she told him not to contact her again, Mr. Ramos wrote in a 2010 email that the woman should “go hang yourself.”

For those unfamiliar with the geography, downtown Annapolis is only about a 20 minute drive from the Washington DC beltway, non-rush hour, and the Gazette is about two miles up the road from the MD State Capital building.

Twitter account of the alleged murderer: Jarrod W. Ramos.

Wayback archive of his website, with stuff about how he was suing the Capital Gazette. I'm not sure since it's deranged sounding, but I think his whole anger at them stems from a comment of his being deleted from one of their websites in 2011.

Note that the user picture on the twitter account there is of Eric Hartley, not Ramos. The account is supposed to be attacking Hartley. Apparently Ramos also created another fake account for I presume the judge in his lawsuit? I don't know what the weird symbol he superimposed on their foreheads is or the significance of "Frnd" at the end of the twitter names.

Maybe "Frnd" is for "friend" - Eric Hartley wrote an article in The Capital with the headline “Jarrod wants to be your friend.”
