The nicest electric guitar I've played was a Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty, spoiling me for all others with its smoothness, weight, response. At $5500, I'm instead an acoustic player.

Les Pauls are uncomfortable to me. I prefer the flat top of an SG.

The only thing I don't like about SGs is the position of the strap button. If I ever get one again I think I'd move it to the upper horn, Tony Iommi style.

I can see why some people wouldn't like that, but it's never been a problem for me.
