Latest Rapture Coming on April 23! How Are You Preparing?

quote [ Here we go again: Fresh reports claim that the end of the world is nigh. Forgetting that we were all a little burned out by the 2012 end-of-Maya-calendar debacle, outlets such as the Daily Express are claiming that the Rapture — the end-time event when Christians are said to ascend to heaven at the second coming of Christ — is coming April 23 and we should get ready for it. ]

Just plain laziness on the rapture guys - I swear, they have just been mailing it in for the past few decades.

Really no weirder than any other main-stream religion; rising from the dead, parting seas, ascending into heaven, demons, angels, global flooding, burning bushes that speak, etc.

The difference is the 7 Mountain Politics and Theology.Ya all religions believe some strange shit, but this is a group not just interested in heaven they are interested in taking dominion on earth...and are right now at the height of power.

We have one as VP...one of the craziest is Rick Perry and we can't forget the few we have in the Senate they are thick as thieves in the House some of the Governors will scare you...that is the weird part.

My wife has the unshakable belief we are alien spawn after a long argument of me trying to persuade her she finally said , "There is a lot more evidence to confirm my beliefs than any of the major religions"...at that point I said OK... what do we call you. She said "your wife" and I never tried that again.

So weird ya... all of em.

Close study of many of the big Enlightened ones, Jesus of Nazareth, Siddhartha Gautama, Zoroaster, Ramakrishna, etc. will find that they, too, professed heavenly dominion on earth, here and now. In fact, you can make a good argument that they meant that's the only kind of heaven there is, that it's here already, and you just have to open you eyes and see it. The bat-shit crazy stuff mostly comes from their followers, long after the masters had died.

Alien spawn in what way? Directly created as conscious mammals, or some kind of interstellar seeding program billions of years ago? I wouldn't completely write off possibility of the later, but the former... Did you know about these beliefs pre-nuptials?

Maybe it's more like an H. R. Giger/Todd McFarlane crossover.

As slaves

Did you know about these beliefs pre-nuptials?

Sure and I don't have a problem with anybodies beliefs. I assumed she had said them in mostly jest but then found out that she was sincere. I'm agnostic and her theroy is a logical explanation to the many Gods early man chronicled...and she is right more credible than an invisible sky man who knows your every thought is all powerful but allows evil to exist as some sort of test to see if we are worthy to live in the sky.

Aliens making the indigenous life slave labor makes a lot more sense and she is correct there is more evidence on her side.

Me, I am sure there is other life in the universe the reason we haven't found any is the distance one would have to travel to see it is beyond our ability because not only is it huge beyond. imagination it is also very old, and we as a solar system are very young...so life may be something we also can't understand...

Sure, I think alien life seeding is far more probable than a universal creator deity with anything even vaguely resembling human personhood or motivation. But the alien slavery angle seems a stretch. A civilization with interstellar travel and the energy- bio- and info-tech necessary to create planetary ecospheres spread through the galaxy probably has access to much more convenient and less costly sources of labor than funny little bipedal mammals.

I'd be kinda tickled if this round of doomsday rumors (doomors?) was started as a viral PR campaign for Snoop or Fiddy's next album, the RAPture.

otherwise, just more meh.

Either that or pootin and dumpster are going to start ww3, and the freedom caucus leaked it to their family and church group.
