Hmm. I'm old enough/out of touch enough, that I have heard the guy's name, but I wouldn't recognize his face or his music. I'm guessing that the google can play it for me. Doing so is probably my civic duty.
I do know that Drake is the guy with the painted on beard, though. Perhaps I should listen to some of his music, too. |

I just read all the lyrics to, DAMN, and listened to the top half dozen songs from that album on youtube. It is nice to see hip-hop lyrics several notches more sophisticated than the usual license plate buzzing stuff, and an attempt at melodic composition. But Pulitzer quality music? Give me De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Arrested Development, et al. (And I'm not saying they deserve a Pulitzer.)
I think I have to resign myself to the fact that I will never be with the the times again. |

A lot of this guy's material is over my head/beyond my experience, but I sure like the way he delivers it.
