This is a remarkable, extensive story on Steele and the timeline of the Russia investigation, which at this point is such a huge sprawling fustercluck it's hard to keep track of all the who's, what's, and when's. It's lengthy but well worth the read, the kind of long-form journalism that's rare these days but that The New Yorker and Jane Mayer excel at.

I still haven't found the part where she explains how Steele ended up in Florida or why he's dicking around with a low-bandwidth porn-sharing website, but I'm sure it looks bad.
