You need 10,000 pieces to build a Minifig-scale Lego Millennium Falcon

quote [ Lego’s Millennium Falcons are some of the toymaker’s largest and most impressive sets, but to keep the price tags reasonable there are some comprises made when it comes to size, scale, and detailing. As the Lego fans at Titans Creations discovered, to build a Millennium Falcon that’s actually perfectly sized for minifigs you’ll need some 10,000 bricks at your disposal. ]

Guys. You guys, seriously.

In the trunk? Cause the booty on that baby is off the proverbial.

It is currently the largest set. Followed up by the Taj Mahal set which they just brought back out of the vault and is almost sold out.

The new MF set is sold out, too.

So I should buy that for my friend's (well, girlfriend's son actually) wedding present later this year... And I can currently get 7% cashback at the lego store. And 1% cashback though my amex card...

If you mean the Taj Mahal, yep. Get it.

As far as Expert sets are concerned, It's a steal for the price (5,900 pieces for $369.99)

Ordered. It costs the difference between my income and outgoings for a month, but my girlfriend wants me to give far more than that, so if I can get away with it (unlikely), it's a steal for me too ;-) And much more fun to give than a red envelope of cash. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just the thing for newlyweds.

They'll need something to do on their honeymoon.

They do youtube toy un-boxing and lego review videos and things, so possibly...

Wow. This item could be a series. It just gets better.
I withdraw my snark.

Oh, I'm a bit snarky. I play computer games, discuss shit with a website full of chronic masturbaters and dream of running the wrong way up escalators. But I think opening toys on youtube is a bit childish.

Someone should make a toy closing channel. They take toys from kids, put them in a box, seal it up, then put it up on a high shelf never to be played with ever again.

Thanks. Forwarded to friend who buys and sells rare/signed Lego boxes.

He says "Cool!"

I’ve seen one of these fully constructed.

The only dissapointing aspect is that the top panels (not shown in the thumb) are precariously situated and connected at only 2-3 pinch points.

This leads to a domino effect of destruction and tears when your buddy tries to show you the inside. If you leave the panels off, the whole thing looks ‘unfinished’.
