THE MEMO: Read the full GOP House intelligence memo about the Trump dossier

quote [ The four-page memo says that the FBI applied for a warrant to secretly monitor Trump aide Carter Page, based in part on information from the controversial Steele dossier, which Republicans say is biased. It was written by staffers for House Intelligence Committee chair and staunch Trump defender Devin Nunes. Nunes himself has not actually seen the intelligence the memo is based on. ]

Wow what a dud...No incriminating information and as far as I can tell no revealing of sources and methods. Just a political document complaining about the Pee pee dossier and its role in getting a warrant. The only interesting thing about this is the question of who wrote it...any comment Mr. Trump?

I don't feel like making it it's own post because you drones will just proclaim it fake news, as per usual.

But it looks like your 'nothingburger' is already being considered high treason.
bbqkink said[4] @ 11:31pm GMT on 2nd Feb
HAHAHA ....Did you even read the memo? High treason for getting a search warrant. High treason for investigating Carter page...this shit is getting hilarious

This is the same guy who said that said

Gosar's statements echoed debunked claims that were circulating among the far right and promoted by conspiracy theorists such as Alex Jones of Infowars.[28] Gosar further believes the Charlottesville rally may have been funded by George Soros, who Gosar said "turned in his own people to the Nazis.

Gosar announced that he would not attend Pope Francis' planned address to a joint meeting of Congress, unless the Pope spoke about issues such as "violent Islam" or Planned Parenthood, instead of climate change.

Now that's a guy you can trust...fuck this is comical. Take this shit to the bank.

I do appreciate how we've managed to distill this entire debacle to two memes.

I hope you do as well.

That we have a president who was an agent of the Russian Federation who entered a conspiracy with them to get elected and has been trying ever since to obstruct justice to keep from being exposed, or not...yep it always has been.
Ankylosaur said @ 1:45am GMT on 3rd Feb
So one partisan politician calling it treason for no good reason = it is already being considered high treason = the death penalty is now an option for those who oppose Trump. You guys are hilarious..
Ussmak said @ 6:13pm GMT on 3rd Feb
Yes, that's exactly what that means.

It only takes one congressman to draft the letter, and that's what's happening. Whether it has merit is for the DoJ to decide.

Don't kill the messenger, yo.

Here, I summed it up once already. Now you can read along and argue with my points.
bbqkink said @ 12:27am GMT on 3rd Feb
This was their shot. This was Trump sycophants’ opportunity to make their case – in writing, with classified information – with the media spotlight and the public’s attention. This was their chance to show that there were actual abuses and that the investigation into the president and his political operation lack justification. Instead, they fired blanks.

Republican memo proves to be worse than meaningless
kylemcbitch said @ 12:35am GMT on 3rd Feb
Unfortunately, you are focused on the wrong thing. Most everyone is.

Regardless how well or not well this went off, we are now in danger of losing the republic.

Schiff has accused Nunes of editing the memo before giving it to Trump. This means this has become a Separation of Powers issues. The memo includes information on an investigation, that investigation's subject is the person getting the memo.

If Nunes added details, he could have potentially spoiled the investigation or tipped of Trump, though just what was released could have done that too, we don't know, we haven't seen it.

But the problem becomes if that is pressed. This goes to a Supreme Court that is experiencing it's own Constitutional Crisis in Gorsuch. That will be all three branches fundamentally compromised, I doubt either side will trust a ruling that doesn't suit them, and even if Gorsuch recuses, the fundamental problem is the same.

So, enjoy whatever hollow victory you feel like getting from this. Because this is a gamble and the bet is the Republic and I don't think it will survive.
bbqkink said @ 1:04am GMT on 3rd Feb
Oh we have been in that danger for some time. This has been a slow motion "Saturday Night Massacre". We have been in a constitutional crises since the firing of Comey. Gorsuch is just another cooperate Republican.

enjoy whatever hollow victory you feel like getting from this

The only victory here is watching this blow up in their faces. remember me the one who tried to tell everyone here Trump is a different bread of cat...and got ridiculed for crying wolf...buddy I have been here for a while, glad to see you could join the party,

Actually this release makes me feel a little better I feared it may show wrong doing by Rosenstien it didn't, because that when this blows the hell up with his or Mueller firing. Now he has less leverage and the odds of that have gotten better.

If he doesn't fire them we are all waiting for november...if he does its time to take to the streets.

On super bowl weekend?

You're on drugs.
bbqkink said[3] @ 1:29am GMT on 3rd Feb
I guess you have to have priorities...WTF difference does it make.

we are now in danger of losing the republic.

Beer and nachos and football more important? What happened to your great concern?

As a matter of fact that would be a great place to gather stop the game if possible.
kylemcbitch said @ 1:33am GMT on 3rd Feb
No, I am concerned, that's the part of it.

This was timed for this reason. I am sorry to say it.

kylemcbitch said @ 2:30am GMT on 3rd Feb
Looks impressive on a map, certainly. Got raw numbers? Know what those numbers will be after accounting for the super bowl, and technically it's not Mueller being fired. You can kill Rosenstien and then slow walk the investigation to oblivion as well.

But those people signed up to protest Mueller's firing. How many will be evolved enough in their understanding to do it over this as well?
bbqkink said[2] @ 3:49am GMT on 3rd Feb
It's also possible that, rather than firing Mueller, Trump will obstruct Mueller's investigation by issuing blanket pardons of key figures being investigated, firing Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, the person overseeing Mueller, or taking other actions to prevent the investigation from being conducted freely.

It has been done on local level would have to click every link to find raw numbers. Seems to have cooled off for now but could heat up quickly depending on what Trump tries to do.

I don't see him doing anything now that this memo landed like a twenty pond tud in the punch bowl until after the November election...there are rumors that Mieller may try an indict Trump instead of going to congress.

Russia probe lawyers think Mueller could indict Trump Many legal scholars doubt a U.S. vs. Trump case is possible, but two attorneys who have dealt with special counsel Robert Mueller's team disagree. One expects Mueller to move as early as this spring.

bbqkink said[5] @ 3:58am GMT on 3rd Feb
Don't much care for the Eagles but detest the Patriots. This is not going to be much of a Superbowl for me. The pats are only 5 point favorites less than I expected.

Although we should be careful here sports are even less popular that politics here. but maybe the Superbowl is enough of a happening we can get away from the disdain.

Don't look now but our old friend Devin Nunes is not done

"We are in the middle of what I call phase two of our investigation, which involves other departments, specifically the State Department and some of the involvement that they had in this," Nunes said.

"That investigation is ongoing and we continue work towards finding answers and asking the right questions to try to get to the bottom of what exactly the State Department was up to in terms of this Russia investigation."
