quote [ Some addicts take huge doses of loperamide; sold under the brand name Imodium A-D; to try to ease withdrawal ]
It actually can't cross the blood brain barrier, but if you take a few hundred pills it'll fight the withdrawal symptoms apparently. Of course you might never poop again.
Not good news for people like me, who have to take a few doses a week. I'm heading to Costco after work to stock up.

My mother actually died from this about 6 years ago. I've seen first hand what it does no one believed me when I told them... they laughed actually it really takes it's toll on a person.

Gotta love the clear and insightful takeaways about the actual drug effects. It's dangerous. More dangerous than, oh, let's say, heroin? Less dangerous? Addictive?

Okay, but who is the regular market for 300 count Imodium?

Who's the regular market for 300 count Tylenol? I know I'll definitely go through the immodium long long before I'd ever go through that much Tylenol. Plus the Tylenol bottle is likely more dangerous. And immodium are about the size of a grain of rice. I'm sure that's already the smallest bottle they use.
