Anybody taking bets?

quote [ Deadline looms for Trump and Russia sanctions

The president has until Monday to implement stiff penalties targeting the Kremlin — and lawmakers aren’t sure he’ll comply on time

“Am I confident [that Trump will meet the deadline]"? asked Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.). “I’m hopeful.” ]

He can't. He is owned lock stock and barrel.

This might come in handy to sort all of this out.

As special counsel Robert Mueller continues his inquiries into Russia collusion in the 2016 election, new information continues to be added to the timeline of facts.

NBC News has gathered information starting as early as 2004 to help make sense of the convoluted series of events around President Donald Trump and his inner circle. The timeline will be updated as new information develops.

And for a bunch of lawyers they seem to have trouble with understanding what Recused means.

Jeff Sessions Appears to Be Meddling in the Russia and Clinton Probes He Vowed to Avoid
Democrats say the attorney general has violated his recusal.

And this little prick is overstepping his bounds constantly . I for one an getting tired of the press referring this to an Inelegance committee Memo...it is not. It is a product of Devin Nunes and his staff. The committee has not even seen it.

The Devin Nunes memo

When I first heard about the Pee pee tape I doubted it was real, but when I heard it wasn't the whores peeing on him, but in the bed that Obama and his wife slept in I had no doubt. It was Trump to a T.

I actually thought this might be a tactic he used. Revolutionize government by crowdfunding projects citizens actually wanted outside of partisan wrangling and taxation. Of course that opens a Pandora box of it's own...

The next deadline for a Govt shutdown is Feb 8th. Doubt they will hit this target as well.
bbqkink said[1] @ 4:54am GMT on 29th Jan
I'm betting against another shutdown. The Dems caved last time they know it is a losing proposition. The GOP is leaving town and they only have 2 days to work on it they have a strategy session down south. I am at a loss as to what they will do.

To quote Big Trouble in Little China; Jack Burton: When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."

I wanted to put this here every now and then it is nice to dream at what could have been and just listen to sanity.

Right now what our focus is, is on 2018; Doing everything that we can to see that the Democrats regain control of the Senate and the House and some governors' chairs as well.

I don't want to speculate about 2020. The American people are deeply concerned about the decline of the American middle class:

We're the only major country on Earth not to guarantee health care to all people.
Everything being equal, our kids are going to have a lower standard of living than we do.
We need to make public colleges and universities tuition free.

What we need to do as a nation.. is revitalize American democracy and create a government that actually works for working people and not just for billionaire campaign contributors.

There are enormous problems facing this country. Whoever runs for President has got to focus on the needs of workers, be prepared to stand up to the 1%, and create an economy that in the wealthiest nation in the history of the world addresses the issues of poverty and health care and education.

I get that he says some inspirational things. But as quoted, the definition of INsanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. See: History of Socialism.

Yea we have had so many socialist here in the US why would we try that again maybe we should try capitalism.
norok said @ 4:30pm GMT on 30th Jan
Working great so far.

I'm getting more open to talking about 'social programs' as of late. But this Marxism he channels is really tired and worn. That's not my opinion; it's history around the globe.
bbqkink said[1] @ 6:08pm GMT on 30th Jan
Socialism and Communism are not the same thing.

Socialism is an economic system while communism is both an economic and political system. ... Socialists can own personal properties while communists can not. 5. Socialism allows capitalism to exist in its midst while communism seeks to get rid of capitalism.

And there was a formula that did make capitalism work here in the US it was the tax code. But since it was demolished by Reagan and the Republicans that have followed is has been getting progressively worse and has created a growing income inequality ever since.

Income inequality in the United States has increased significantly since the 1970s

Income inequality in the United States

You can see it on any chart you look at. it is the day that Reagan fired the air tragic controllers...then the Bush tax cut and now with the new ones it is not getting better for anyone but the very rich.
norok said @ 6:41pm GMT on 30th Jan

I don't make the distinction. It is philosophically the stepping stone towards the final political system. The nuance is in the distinction between social programs but pushing for a socialist political system has always resulted in disaster. Think you're poor now? Wait til you're guaranteed an income...

All seem to be doing better than we are. And only one is a communist country. but I guess they will all turn communist soon if you are brother Lenin are right.
norok said @ 7:11pm GMT on 30th Jan
You only listed one Communist country. And in that country, tens of millions had to die to implement it which is my point.
bbqkink said @ 7:33pm GMT on 30th Jan
Your point was that socialism leads to communism and that is totally wrong. China was not a socialist democracy that decide to become a communist country. They became a communist county through revolution. It is my contention that if the uncheck capitalism is allowed to run amok here that is the only way that would cause a change to communism through the same process as it has everywhere else...revolution.

And that every other country on that list has a better standard of living than we do. They didn't get that way through revolution they got that way through the ballot box.
norok said @ 10:11am GMT on 30th Jan
So they voted to release the FISA memo. The countdown begins until we have documentation that the Obama Administration used its surveillance powers to spy on an opposition candidate in an election. Like the Snowden leaks, nothing will change. The question is; was it the real genesis of the Russia Conspiracy Theory. I doubt you will care either; it's way too entertaining to you.
bbqkink said[1] @ 4:14am GMT on 31st Jan
The countdown begins until we have documentation that the Obama Administration used its surveillance powers to spy on an opposition candidate in an election.

The search warrant that was issued by the FISA court judge was on Carter Page..and was RENEWED 3 TIMES which means it had to show results for a judge to renew it...which means and should be a surprise to nobody that Page is a Russian cutout.

There is nothing going to come out but the mussing of another cutout Nunes ,even giving him the benefit of the doubt he at the minimum a "useful idiot" he already proved himself to be a liar and a tool for Trump. it is reported he has not even read the intel he is basing this fairy tale on.

The president of the united states just refused to act on a law that he signed because it went against his deal with Putin his owner...even you have to see it now.

Now there is an IG report due to come out soon that may shed some light on misdealing inside the FBI but not the way you think it might it will show how they treated the 2016 election poorly. but this pies of garbage smear piec is nothing more that cherry picked facts designed to smear the justice department to lessen the damage of the inevitable finding that Trump is a Russian tool....nothing more.
norok said @ 8:58am GMT on 31st Jan
I figured that would be the response coming out because it was written by a Republican. Again, nothing will change.
bbqkink said @ 4:16pm GMT on 31st Jan
There is another written by Democrats being blocked.
norok said @ 4:50pm GMT on 31st Jan
I'm interested to read what they have to say in response. Got to know what they are responding to first. It's all speculation at this point but for Democrats to take the "security of our country" stance as to not revealing the dealings of FISA collection is quite the 180.
bbqkink said[2] @ 5:52pm GMT on 31st Jan
I for one would like to wait for the IG report before anybody did anything.

FBI officials ask Trump to block Nunes memo

Christopher A. Wray, the F.B.I. director, clashed publicly with the president for the first time on Wednesday, condemning a push by House Republicans to release a secret memo that purports to show how the bureau and the Justice Department abused their authorities to obtain a warrant to spy on a former Trump campaign adviser.

The “F.B.I. was provided a limited opportunity to review this memo the day before the committee voted to release it,” Mr. Wray said in a statement. “As expressed during our initial review, we have grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo’s accuracy.”
norok said @ 9:05pm GMT on 31st Jan
We'll just have to wait and see. I do hope you will be just as diligent about making a thread about it as the other things.
bbqkink said[1] @ 9:09pm GMT on 31st Jan
The phony memo or the IG report. It think just like the FBI and the justice department that the memo is dangerous and is cherry picked to imply things that are...well flat out lies. The IG report is damn important so yea.

you still haven't eve admitted that Russia has been meddling in our government and in the 2016 elections...so i rally don't expect you to do anything other than what you have already done deflect and lie. I say lie because you are much to intelligent to believe this bullshit.
norok said @ 11:35pm GMT on 31st Jan
So we'll just discount it before it comes out because it's a party issue. I suppose it was too much to ask.

No, I will not accept your frame.
