quote [ LucinaAR is the world's first holographic birthing simulator. Integrated with Microsoft HoloLens technology, CAE LucinaAR shows anatomy as 3D holograms as learners train in shoulder dystocia delivery management. ]
I forget who I discussed it with, but we're going to face an interesting problem where AI/robots are going to make entry-level or even intermediary experiences obsolete, making it more difficult for people to acquire experiential expertise in an otherwise inaccessible skillset. Like so. Will VR be the only avenue for some skills in the future? This and more on the next season of Black Mirror.

I found it from one of the developers posting about it on reddit. They say as long as you're not right up on where the image is meant to be projected it works pretty well with leveraging the manikin.

It may have the downside you mention but I can forsee a tremendous upside in the Supply-side of medical services that is the bottleneck of all healthcare systems.

Of course. Supply side.
The bottleneck is the for profit philosophy. If it ain't makin' money, jettison that shit. Right? This is just another way to shift responsibility to the consumer. Medicine and diagnosis is just overhyped by the medical community. I mean, anybody can diagnose and prescribe with a few clicks on the internet, right? Just take an online class and suddenly you're just as qualified and experienced as an MD. Or an engineer. Or a politician. |
