Never Completed Game

quote [ This game has never been completed. Will you be able to complete all 40 missions? Probably not; a few million people have tried and failed before you. But give it a shot! ]

Starts off easy. Doesn't stay that way.

Never mind, got it. Got the next one too, and that's it for me. This game is fucking stupid. I don't mind difficult or obscure or whatever, but at this point it's just "decipher this clue and then use it to guess what the game designer was thinking" without any actual logical path to the correct answer. I don't find that fun.

I think

"Correction. The game has been completed by /sci/. Quote from the winner: "Go fuck yourself"."

Speaks volumes.

It's the same kind of trouble I had playing Zork as a kid. Not that I didn't understand what to do, but that I couldn't pick the right work the developer is looking for. An example is an answer being "prime numbers" but "primes" not being an acceptable answer etc.

At least in Zork you just had to try synonyms. If this guy had written Zork, if you wanted to pick up a hammer, you'd have to type "Thor".

Do you have a link to somewhere explaining all the answers? I had to skip 17 to and still don't understand it.

Of course. This one is a no brainer.

1729 is the natural number following 1728 and preceding 1730. It is known as the Ramanujan number, after an anecdote of the British mathematician G. H. Hardy when he visited Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan in hospital. He related their conversation:[1][2][3][4]

It's Pick Up The Phone Booth And Die except it's not a joke.
