Statistical indicators of President Obama's eight years in office. ]

The economy improved during these years no doubt. Will you give the same credit in 8 more to Trump (or any other President) when it happens again?

Lets see after the upcoming tax debacle. Trump and GOP can't pass gas. There has been no legislative "fix" for anything. Right now Trump is running on O's economy. Soon he will own it for himself. And if history is any indicator all hell is about to break lose.

As soon a the stock market figures out that Trump's tax promises are bogus as the rest of his agenda expect the bottom to drop out. He does nothing but damage the heath care sector that is 1/5 of the economy and the repercussion from the debacle is yet to take hold.

So ya I guess the answer to your question is yes. I've just got to also say...8.... hahaha

So you're saying Obama did a good job?

He kept his nose clean of scandals, didn't start new wars, and let the economy recover from '08. I give him a B+.

Didn't start new wars? Need to recheck that.

Ended one...sorta. Made one bigger, made it smaller, then The ruckus with Qaddafi.... can't really be called a war.... Tried to end endless war... failed.
Started a real was with ISIS...ongoing

Over all failed his overarching task to get out of the middle east and move US interest to the far east. with the ending of the TPP Trade agreement it is like that move never happened.

I do have to give you this one...and I am probably the most surprised to have to say this....Trump did something that I have to say is very reassuring and a wise choice in a dangerous section of the world...

Senate confirms Huntsman as ambassador to Russia

Level headed... HONEST...and smart. This is very unTrump thing to do.

This should have been the main post but I know folks around here are sick of hearing about him so I will post it here. And partly because the last time I talked to you I got accused of being way to friendly maybe I should respond with something I don't think you will like.

This is Trumps Katrina...this is were he loses his base. Not because he didn't try to help some brown and black folks, his base could care less. One of them I heard actually said they are just a bunch of Mexicans anyway. That wasn't where Bush lost them either.

It is the inept sloppy and ineffective way he is going about it...It makes the guy who said I'm the only guy who can do it look like a fool. On the heals of this Tax boondoggle...his numbers go down.

Because he very well may have been able to shoot someone in times square But you cna't look like a fool and hen try to steal my money at the same time one of your main people is taking million dolls worth of joy rides. As A democrat this is the moment I have been waiting for.

Accused by who of being too friendly to who? You generally have the right politics to say what you want without repercussion here (just like folks in the media).

I think it's funny in a sort of being told what you're offended by way that you think Trump "loses his base" with everything he does. If you don't support him, then you don't get it, and shouldn't try to pundit in that area.

Somebody asked in an earlier thread if you and i wanted to get a room after I commented on one of your post. And I think it was guilt by association you seem to be a trouble maker.

Oh I'm not telling you how to feel I'm saying I have seen all this before.

“The Navy and Air Force could have been there Sunday,” Ret. Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré said Thursday to NBC’s Andrea Mitchell. “Could have opened the port, could have opened the air field. Why the hell has it taken this long to do that? That is what we do in the military.” “There’s something missing in the decision-making process,” he said. “[The cabinet should’ve] come up with a course of action and [called] the president off the damn golf course.”

Trump today Said that he wouldn't rest until PR was safe then Promptly got on Air force 1 to go to his golf club for 3 days.... where I'm sure he won't rest. The same day he fires a cabinet member for stealing jet rides to go on vacations. The same week he unveils a much heralded Tax plan that is slap in the face of his base.

Drudge tweet: 'The swamp drains you'

Hey my crystal ball is famous for having cracks in it but ...
+++++++++EDIT+++++++++++

I'm a populist and although not like the populist on your side of the isle I am a populist. And I know a populist should just about lose their mind on this.

"Congressional Republicans may also find it hard to sell to their party’s populist wing on a tax plan heavily tilted toward slashing taxes for corporations and the wealthy. The big-spending conservative group Americans for Prosperity, backed by the billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch, is gearing up to spend millions to back the GOP tax overhaul. Yet large percentages of Republican voters favor raising corporate tax rates, not lowering them, and a majority think that taxes for those earning $250,000 a year should either stay the same or be raised."

Republican leaders are reeling from their primary loss in Alabama and the demise of their health-care bill, but they have only themselves—and their big donors—to blame.

Oh and if you had any doubt that the base is the ones going to get fucked in the tax bill.....

The Senate budget resolution released Friday would eliminate a two-year-old rule that prohibits the Senate from voting on a bill until 28 hours after the budget impact has been estimated by official scorekeepers.

Even with the bullshit reliance on Dynamic scoring That magic math they used in "The Kansas Miracle" that has proved so accurate there....They are going to have to do this by reconciliation in the dead of the night before even the dynamic scoring numbers comes out and people see they have been fucked again.

The part I am waiting for is that famous "Freedom Caucasus" those infamous deficit hawks vote for a Two Trillion dollar hole in the budget to give fat kat millionaires a tax cut...watch the "We are putting our grandchildren in debt" crowd say hey.... Ya Only Live once lets Go For it!!
