Saudi to lift driving ban on women

quote [ King Salman issues an order allowing women to be given driving licences for the first time.

Government ministries are to prepare reports within 30 days and the order will be implemented by June 2018, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world to forbid women from driving.

Rights groups have campaigned for years to allow women in Saudi Arabia to drive, and some women have been imprisoned for defying the rule. ]

Saudi Arabia dips a toe into the twentieth century.

This actually looks more like Afghanistan, but still...

No word yet on what their insurance rates will be. Will women need approval from male keepers before applying for licenses or insurance? Will women be restricted to driving at certain times and places? Will women be prohibited to driving unrelated male passengers?

Devil; details; y'know.
