J. Cole Calls for NFL Boycott Over Colin Kaepernick Treatment

quote [ J. Cole called on his fans to boycott the NFL Sunday over the league's seemingly concerted mistreatment of Colin Kaepernick.

"God bless every player that finds courage to kneel today. But the real power comes from you deciding to not watch," J. Cole wrote in a series of tweets Sunday. ]

Cole's call for NFL boycott in support of Kaepernick coincides with Trump's call for NFL boycott in opposition to Kaepernick.

Both join previous NFL boycott efforts. As usual, Trump gets all the press.

Probably, no NFL fan will actually boycott for any reason.

In case anybody forgets this all started as a protest against the police violence and lack of accountability for it in the courts. And as far as this being disrespectful of the flag or the military just remember this.

I'm boycotting boycotting, in support of and/or opposition to both boycotting and the boycotting thereof.

Dear NFL players, please go to Puerto Rico and kneel to trick @realDonaldTrump into focusing on what the fuck he should be focusing on.

I know - today my FB feed has been blowing up with "burning player jerseys because MURICA-FUCK-YEAH!!!" videos. Then a bunch of the tender little snowflakes got got mad at me just for pointing out that the jerseys they were burning came from the same factory in China where their American flags come from.

Man - try and do some people a little favor, and point out some common sense little things...

Of course the long-haired skeevy looking shirtless guy from Texas who roots for the Steelers and pronounced Villanueva "Villanova" before burning his jersey really summed it up better than I ever could with mere words.

I haven't seen a single live snap of NFL football since the Super Bowl. The boycott has become easier and easier as time passes. I've been a fan since I was a kid. I even had those nifty NFL pencils. My favorite team (the Raiders) are finally good again (last night's game notwithstanding)... and I'm not watching the product.

Honestly? I can't say I miss it.

It's hard to ignore the head injuries. You see someone take a hard shot, and know down the road he's going to probably be disabled, or have a shortened life, or commit suicide. I don't see how anybody can let their kid play football, now that we know the result.

As a kid, I had a few of those miniature helmets, but just the ones with the cool team logos on them, like Raiders, Pirates, Tigers and Bears. Who would want a silly dolphin or a cardinal on a helmet?

I''m not boycotting the games, I'm just not going to watch them. Sports used to be one of the few things that I could watch on TV that didn't involve politics, looks like those days have passed.
