This is a new kind of right wing that most Americans are not familiar with.

Bannon and others in the international tea party movement do not support that order. They see Russia as a potential ally of nationalist populists against Islam. And that would be a fundamental shift in American foreign policy if we're more pro Russia than we are pro NATO. And to me, one of the interesting things in this whole administration will be Bannon versus Trump. That is to say a guy with the ideology versus a guy with no attention span who sees a lot of shiny objects. Racism, Islamophobia, and xenophobia — and not economic anxiety — are their calling cards. All of this seem way over Trumps head...and Anti to the John McCains of this world. Russia as an allie in the next Crusade a realignment of the post WWII world like we have never seen. And now a champion in the Whitehouse.

Except your link has a hard time keeping its facts straight....
As you can see on the above map, Gaza is separate from the other major Palestinian population center — the big green blob to the east of Israel, the West Bank. So despite both territories being largely populated by Palestinians, they're basically separate geographic entities.
Before Israel occupied Gaza, it was controlled for some years by Egypt, which borders Gaza on the west. Israel took it from Egypt during the 1967 war between the two countries, and until 2005 it occupied the Gaza Strip in the same way that it has occupied the West Bank through today.
