If they'd offered multiple colors I could see it as just an unfortunate implication. But it seems they only come in black.

"Southern" is an adjective that can be applied to many thing. Its just as much a region as it is a culture. You need to come up with better arguments.
I really think the joy in pointing the finger at semantics and whaddaboutism really derives from refusing to accept criticism of any kind. Its a form of denial.
